Though suitable for everyone ages 8 – 108, I wrote it especially for the young person who wants to understand the reason for his or her existence, and upon discovering it, resolves to continue life from a solid foundation. Also, my purpose for writing this book is to inform those who have little or no basic Biblical knowledge about God and desire more, or who are unfamiliar with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Finally, Basic Questions of LIFE Answered! is a very basic discipleship resource for small group Bible study, a Sunday school supplement, or a springboard for more intensive personal study of the Scriptures regarding the origins and purpose of life.

To further explain, The Basic Questions of LIFE Answered! is running commentary yet concise; narrative while also conversational. Moreover, it is a full explanation and a distillation of my understanding of the Good News of Jesus Christ from Genesis to Revelation. In other words, as my husband declares, the book is simple but deep! To keep it brief, I formatted the book in short Q & A sections, where I cite Scriptures from the Bible* at the bottom of every page to support each assertion I make. Lastly, the only illustration is the black and white front cover. Pictured strikingly here, Christ's head is silhouetted within a large question mark against a background of light, as Jesus bows in humility, wearing the crown of thorns.

Cover design is by Cat Boysen, my amazing illustrator, artist, and graphic designer, whose creative expertise subtly yet profoundly conveys the message of the book.
