Especially if you're a young single woman, a new Mom, or thinking of 'tying the knot' forever with the love of your life. Yes, the road ahead might seem daunting, but whatever course you choose, courage and wisdom will get you there. And if I can make it, so can you!!


Hello and welcome!! To introduce myself, I’m a Mom of 5, and a 100% full-time homemaker, Grammy of 5, and former home-educator. Also, married for 48 years (miraculously), my husband and I have typically had our share of struggles like most folks, but they have been uniquely challenging as well. I cannot claim expert status, neither do I pretend to have all the answers. In fact, the only reason I have anything of value at all to share is because I’ve had to learn from my own mistakes, and above all, from the Bible, the Word of God. I've really blown it at times! but I would love to be of assistance and lead you to the only One Who truly knows the way!

God in my life

You may be wondering at this point why I'm showing up with a web site blogging and book-writing! It all began 50+ years ago when I met Christ during the Jesus movement in the early 70's. Over the years, my immaturity and many insecurities hindered my walk with Jesus. However, true to His nature, God has always been there loving me. As a master gardener, He has been very patiently and persistently working in my life with the end goal that I might eventually bear good 'fruit' as a believer in Christ. Over and over again, God has proven His faithfulness through every joy and trial of my life.

LEARNING TO FLY!

Consequently, when you've known God as long as I have, you discover He has filled you with a huge passion to share His love and wisdom with others. And this is what I plan to do here. By nature I’m essentially shy, but I love to write! So like a young eagle, I believe now He is nudging me out of the nest and requiring me to fly. It remains to be seen if I will fall or soar, though I have no doubt God is well able to keep me aloft because all of this is His idea!!

FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS

When I read Esther’s story in the Bible I can relate to a question her guardian, Mordecai, posed concerning her destiny. He asked her, “…who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14, NKJV) In the same way, I must accept such times as this in which I am called by God to fulfill my destiny. That is, if I want to succeed! This applies even to the details of daily living. Let me explain myself—today, in 2024, I’ve had to face the fact I cannot long for the technologically simpler times of the 20th century! This day, this year, is the time God has chosen to place me, to place us all. We are here for a reason. When we accept the times we’re living in, we can celebrate them, challenges and all.

WHAT IS TRUTH?

“WHAT IS TRUTH?” This was the question Pilate asked Jesus 2,000 years ago when he delivered Him to the people to be crucified. Was this a rhetorical question or is there something for which he earnestly needed an answer? As the Roman governor of the day, we might consider him an intelligent man. I wonder if he thought he knew. Or better -- if he hoped Jesus might be able to inform him of the answer. Pilate’s simple question is, in my opinion, deeply profound.

BE FRUITFUL

Back in the beginning, God created us as His children to be fruitful. He wants a huge family, so He commanded us to be fruitful and multiply! “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish…27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it…”
